The hygienically pure foot climate is very important for diabetics; foot care alone is inadequate for this purpose, the shoes must also meet the hygienic requirements. For this reason, Therm-ic has specially developed a hygiene system that is not only capable of drying your shoes by conserving the materials and of absorbing unpleasant odours; in fact, it is capable of reducing bacteria and germs to prevent health-related problems such as fungal infections.
The Institute for Hygiene of the Graz Faculty for Medicine has conducted a study to confirm the effect of the ThermiCare Sanitizer and ThermiCare Refresher. The thesis to be confirmed was that "the population of the boots by micro-organisms and the propagation of existing micro-organisms is prevented or reduced by the use of ThermiCare Sanitizer and ThermiCare Refresher".
The ThermiCare Sanitizer and ThermiCare Refresher drying function and the effect on micro-organisms under laboratory conditions were analysed by means of reference strains.
